The Hotel Royal Penang stands proudly along Jalan Larut, near to the famous Burmah Road, one of the most happening roads in Penang. Famous historical landmarks and commercial district are within walking distance from the Hotel. It will only take you approximately 40 minutes’ drive from the Penang International Airport to the hotel and about 8 minutes to the Ferry Terminal where you are able to catch the ferry to Pulau Payar, Langkawi, Thailand and across to mainland Penang.

The Hotel’s coffeehouse, Grove Brasserie offers a wide range of International and Local Cuisines, whereby the guests would be able to choose to satisfy their palate from a sumptuous buffet spread or from the ala carte menu. You can view the different selections of flavours from the Dining tab.

Adjacent to the Hotel is the Penang Plaza, an annexe building offers a variety of shopping arcades that includes a grocery store & pharmacy on the ground floor; a florist, bookstore, nail spa, hair saloon & boutiques just to name a few, on the 1st floor and a renowned Chinese restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Complex.

The Hotel, offers a collection of 276 guestrooms ranging from Superior, Deluxe to Premium Deluxe Rooms, Executive Suite, Apartment Suite and Presidential Suite.

Superior/Deluxe Room

Our tastefully furnished rooms offer an inviting and cozy reside with a choice of city sea view. These rooms are available in either king or twin beds and located on both smoking and non-smoking floors.

Premium Deluxe

Our Premium Deluxe comes with a King Size Bed and a seperate workstation all in the same room.

Executive Suite

These rooms feature a cozy living area furnished with a lounge and dining area including a cordless phone, mini bar, cable TV set, stereo CD player as well as a DVD player.

Apartment Suite

These apartment style suites meet the requirement of business travelers with families. The kitchenette is equipped with a refrigerator, mircrowave oven, a complete cutlery set together with a small dining table positioned in the living room.

Our All-Day Dining restaurant, GROVE BRASSERIE offers diners an array of both local and international cuisines. Fresh and quality ingredients are used to create delectable choices of cuisines from Malay, Chinese, Peranakan, Indian to Western flavours.

Located on lobby level, the ambience is open and spacious, making diners feel welcomed and comfortable.

Here, diners will get to enjoy our themed buffet, the Western & Oriental on every Friday and Saturday nights or our Steamboat Set Lunch & Dinner which is available from Sunday to Thursday at 11am to 9pm and Friday & Saturday at 11am to 3pm. We also serve Tiffin Lunch Set at RM19.99 per person on every Saturday & Sunday at 12 noon to 2.30pm.
